North Charleston Arts Fest- 2025 Tri-County Youth & Art Exhibition at the Charleston Area Convention Center

HwH Teaching Artists Noah & Laronda collaborated with Beth Dillon, the Art Teacher at Charleston Development Academy, to engage with CDA students from K4 to 8th grade throughout the school year. The artwork created by the students will be showcased in the upcoming exhibit.

TEDDY BEAR PICNIC AT HAMPTON PARK

Join us for the 15th annual Teddy Bear Picnic – The Lorax edition! This cherished tradition takes on a new theme this year and will be held on Sunday, March 2nd from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM. Embrace the spirit of The Lorax by dressing up as your favorite character and get ready to explore, learn & play with Charleston Parks Conservancy!

NEW TRAFFIC / PARKING PLAN - Starting at 2:00 PM, the road surrounding Hampton Park (Mary Murray Drive) will be closed to all traffic.

We will be giving out FREE student art kits to celebrate National Arts & Education week!

Johns Island Library-Tuesday September 10th-Free Art Supplies-Table willl be set up! Pick Up times: 3:30-4:30PM

Wednesday September 11th-3:30PM

Thursday September 12th-4PM

Call for Artists

“With the people”

Visual Arts Students will create artwork to exhibit in the community. Students will receive instruction from Teachers, Artists & Musicians to complete their art. Art & music supplies to support creative thinking will be given out free.

Register to receive FREE supplies for the HwH Call for Artists “With the People” initiative to create more visual arts, music & writing projects. Students will be able to submit artwork in the City Wide Student Art Exhibit “With the People” .

Music Students will create songs & lyrics highlighting their Voice. Working with Teachers & Professional Musicians to record & compose music in the state of the art Carolina Studios recording bus.

Festivus for the Restivus has been established to offer free community outreach through creative expressive arts including writing, visual arts, music & movement.

The festival will feature activities such as teacher-led projects, student practice, participation & performances using provided musical instruments. There will also be visual arts, music & writing sessions, along with creative arts therapeutic tools to help individuals cope with trauma. ‘Festivus for the Restivus’ serves as a platform for mental health education, raising awareness, & promoting well-being through artistic expression.
